  • Patch 2.3.2 Live Today Without AV Change
Nethaera: I think you're getting a bit ahead of yourself here. We are still looking at AV carefully. Sometimes we don't implement something in one patch due to technical issues we've run into. Sometimes we decide they are better implemented at a different time. The most I can say at this point in time is that while the Warmaster change isn't in this patch, it may yet be implemented later.

We are still working toward making AV a better and more strategic experience as we go along. I understand that you feel it is lacking (and others have voiced those same feelings) but there are others that also greatly enjoy AV in its current incarnation. We're not saying it's perfect. I've said this before in fact, but I'll say it again now, we don't generally settle for believing something is perfect "as is". We are always looking for ways to make things better, more fun, and evolving the game to new levels. We are not satisfied easily and will continue to strive toward doing better.

The holiday lull has finally ended and things are just now starting to pick up speed. There still isn't much going on within the WoW community. The Feast of Winter Veil has ended and the new year has gone into full swing.

Speaking of the new year, have you ever played Warcraft III (WC3)? Lots of WoW players have never set foot into WC3 and it's a shame. It has a wonderful single player campaign that's both fun and challenging along with an expansion that follows through and will explain a lot of the story we've seen in The Burning Crusade and will be seing in Wrath of the Lich King.

Even if you're not a fan of RTS games the single player campaigns are easy to understand and revolve more around unit management than resource management. You can also use cheat codes through any missions you dislike just to see the story unfold. It can really help you understand things if you're interested in the lore and why you just have to charge into these areas and take out all of these bosses.

News this week has been quiet just like the last. Expect things to pick up as the holidays fade into the distance. The next major holidays for WoW will be next month (February) which will include the Lunar Festival and "Love is in the Air" which is something similar to Valentine's Day.

That’s about it for this week’s news and headlines. Check in next Tuesday for more here at WoW at Ten Ton Hammer.
