*Blizzard Highlights*

  • Good job at killing more Warcraft heroes
Bornakk:I do know the lore pretty well actually and I like discussing it as there are always different points of view you can take on things.

Illidan and Kael'thas, to me, are both controversial characters who have been shaped by their actions and the hard challenges they have gone up against. Are they completely evil beings? I would say no, but I see them as evil characters because of the distance they are willing to go to accomplish their goals. Both are willing to have whole continents (if not the whole world) destroyed to get what they want and for this people should fight them and take them down.
  • Why don't Season 1 and 2 Swords not Glow?
    Drysc:
We're moving towards a "glowless" look for this reason specifically, so that enchants won't be hidden or overlap improperly; however, the older seasons aren't being changed.
  • Sunwell AQ40 Gate Event
Nethaera: It's going to work a little differently than that. I can't get into more details as of yet, but believe me, we will be watching all of the testing that will be going on once it goes on the PTR and even well after to make sure that it is a fun event that people feel they can really be a part of.

Welcome to the third issue of the WoW Weekly Report!

Are you reading this online? You could be getting it in your email each week. Sign up!

First thing to note this week is that on December 25th the presents under the tree in Ironforge and Orgrimmar become clickable. So be sure to pick up your presents. This year we're suppose to get something new so look forward to it! On the 25th there should be a realm restart which will place the new holiday recipes into a few shops so that if you weren't sent the recipe you can now buy it.

Speaking of the Feast of Winter Veil, remember that this week is the last week you'll be able to take part in any activities. So be sure to stock up on things such as snowballs and holiday eatery. Generally speaking the rarity of these items increase substantially as time marches on.

Remember that the ingame New Years party starts New Years Eve (December 31st) lasts through New Years (Janurary 1st). A quick run down of the event: free booze for everyone in many cities, fireworks launch every hour after the sun sets in the major cities, and the guards in Booty Bay go to sleep meaning that it's an open PvP zone. To enjoy the free booze just grab a cup from somewhere like Stormwind, fill it up at a keg, and then drink, drink, drink!

Kael'thas returns in the upcoming Sunwell Plateau instance. In a recent interview with Blizzard they announced his possible return along with a few details on the opening of the Sunwell Plateau. You'll fight Prince Kael'Thas (now corrupted with a demonic gem in his chest) in a 5 man instance while you'll adventure into the full 25 man instance to take on a "half summoned" Kil'jaeden. This marks the last instance added to The Burning Crusade and marks the end of the Burning Legion storyline. It'll be more interesting as more details are released in the future!

In closing, we the entire staff at Ten Ton Hammer, would like to wish you a safe and happy holidays and a happy new year. See you in the new year!

That’s about it for this week’s news and headlines. Check in next Tuesday morning for more here at WoW at Ten Ton Hammer.
